900 jobs go at Osram

Osram is closing down some of its maintenance sites in the United States and Canada. The restructuring of Osram Sylvania’s Sylvania Lighting Services will result in 900 job losses.  

Dubai signs LED lighting deal with Philips

The Dubai Municipality has signed a deal with Philips to change the lighting in hundreds of buildings to an intelligent LED system. The upgrade is expected to save 6,200 tonnes of CO2 emissions a year from 262 buildings. 

Human-centric lighting set to take off in Europe

Lighting designed to promote health and wellbeing could soon be a multibillion-euro business, according to a study by Lighting Europe, the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association and consultancy AT Kearney.
