Technical Support Engineer– Office Based - Borehamwood

Glamox Ltd is a leading Scandinavian supplier of lighting solutions to the professional building market, offering complete product ranges for schools, healthcare facilities, commercial and industrial buildings, retail facilities, hotels and restaurants. Glamox have been present in the UK since 1969 and have brought to market a variety of good quality lighting products.

The role will be office based from our UK head office in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.

Tasks

• Assist the Technical Manager in day-to-day technical and product warranty issues.

• Provide technical support through customer telephone queries on products and associated lighting queries.

• Support the UK Sales Managers with product support by liaising with our pan-European factories

• Be prepared to attend where necessary, construction sites and client meetings if/when required.

Qualifications

• Ideally from an Electrical/Electronic background. Further training is available to enhance your skill set.

• Would suit a recently qualified graduate or full time education individual seeking their first challenging work role.

• Be familiar and confident using Computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel etc. 

• Be a Team player with good communication skills and an inquisitive attitude.

• Self-motivated individual with a good work ethic.

Report direct to the Technical Manager, the ideal candidate will ideally have electrical/electronic qualifications or experience and be prepared to get involved in Lighting control design, support and commissioning within the office, education, industrial and healthcare sectors. The candidate will form an integral part of a growing dynamic team and therefore must be able to show enthusiasm and the desire to provide excellent customer service.
