Interoperability is key as experts gather at LuxLive

The ability of wireless control platforms and protocols to work seamlessly between different suppliers and manufacturers is set to be top of the agenda when industry experts and technologist meet at next month’s LuxLive 2019 in London.

To show the level of interoperability possible with Bluetooth,  demonstrations of the technology will take place at LuxLive

Interoperability is seen as crucial to adoption of the technology by end-user customers and will be a major theme of the event, which takes place at the ExCeL London on Wednesday 13 November and Thursday 14 November 2019.

The potential of achieving interoperability means that lighting networks can encompass multiple vendors, control devices, even connectivity protocols.

It provides flexibility to customers in creating a ‘future-proof’ control infrastructure that can also extend beyond lighting.

It can also serve as a natural platform for a range of valuable Bluetooth enabled services, such as asset tracking, way-finding and point-of-interest information.

To show the level of interoperability possible, experts will perform a demonstration of the tech.

The demo will show how lighting as a platform is emerging as a model for deploying additional services. Dubbed ‘beyond lighting’ capabilities, these can increase the value of a commercial lighting infrastructure.

  • The seminar, Future Proof Your Wireless Lighting Infrastructure with Bluetooth, takes place as part of the Smart Spaces conference on Thursday 14 November 2019 at 1.30pm. The LuxLive exhibition itself takes place on both Wednesday 13 November and Thursday 14 November. For more information or to register, click HERE.
