Complete control: lighting at the Al-Angham restaurant

Royal Estates has lit up the Al-Angham restaurant space and created a timelessly relevant design. It is fully adjustable and gives the owner a great deal of control over the lighting.

The Al-Angham restaurant has been updated with all-new lighting by the company Royal Estates. They have created a system of lights which is decadent and impressive, and fully responded to the goal of lighting this spectatular restaurant. The design includes lighting which has been specifically directed to te locations of the tables and other important features of the restaurant. In an innovative and insightful step, Royal Estates has also prepared for the future possibility of change, and has allowed for the movement of these features around the space. This has been accomplished by using beams above the main hall, using PAR-111 lamps for effect. These can later be adjusted to better suit the room and occasion, as the owner desires. This is all controlled through the use of an iPad for convenience and works due to the pre-planned DALI transformers equipped in all of the fittings.

The lighting here has been used to highlight the important spaces in the room, and invites the guest into the area

These beams running through the ceiling are in different places; there are both wide and narrow beams, which use different levels of lighting to create more contrast. The narrow beams are dimmed to 60 percent, with the wider beams to 25 percent. This structure allows the optimum lighting of the space provided, and also creates a deeper sense of the space than other plans may provide for.

As well as allowing the owner to adjust the lighting through a central system, Royal Estates have also created a more immersive experience for the customer to the establishment. The lighting in private rooms is independent to the lighting of the main hall, and is adjustable separately by the use of a remote control. This allows the customer to have limited control over the lighting, and therefore suggests that the lighting will always be tailored to the client's wishes. Only the downlights are customisable with this plan, and so the restaurant owner is still largely aware of what is happening with their lighting. By allowing the client to be involved on any level, the company have shown an insight into the differences between individual customers' preferences, and managed to cater for all of them.
