Arsenal's lights go on show at LuxLive

The powerful LED lights illuminating Arsenal's Emirates Stadium will be on show at next month's LuxLive Middle East show. The English Premiership club  unveiled the new LED floodlighting system at an evening game against Liverpool.

Arsenal follows Premier League rivals Chelsea, who were the first Premiership team to go LED. After nine years at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal has ditched its 2kW metal halides for a system that will increase light levels by a third and reduce energy by 30 per cent. The lights also work with HD television and eliminates filcher in slow-motion replays.

The project is widely seen as a coup for American manufacturer Musco.

Arsenal’s stadium and facilities director, John Beattie, told Lux Review: ‘It’s important for both players and fans alike that we have top-quality lighting for the club’s evening fixtures and these new floodlights provide just that.'
Emirates Stadium joins an extensive list of leading facilities that have benefitted from Musco has also supplied floodlights to London’s Twickenham Stadium, the world’s largest regby venue as well as the Houston Texans’ NRG Stadium and the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

  • Arsenal's lights will be on show on Musco's booth 815 at LuxLive Middle East 2016 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on Wednesday 13 April and Thursday 14 April. Entry is free if you pre-register at
