Experts gather for Emergency Lighting Conference 2016

The Lux Emergency Lighting Conference 2016 offers a day of exclusive presentations by keynote speakers within the industry as well as interactive sessions and live interviews.

 

Speakers include:

 

Chair: John Bullock, Applications Editor, Lux. 

John has over 30 years experience, firstly as a manufacturer and then chiefly as an independent lighting designer. He has recently joined Lux as Applications Editor to provide knowledgable content on all aspects of the lighting sector.
He will also be a member of the afternoon's panel discussing 'beyond the regs'.

 

Alan Daniels, director, P4

Alan is a director at P4, a company that specialises in self-testing emergency lighting systems. He serves on ICEL Technical committees and on the ICEL Council, as well as occasional involvement in the development of national and international standards.
He will be speaking on ways of making emergency lighting cost effective and compliant.

 

Neil Foster, Couch Perry & Wilkes

Neil is lighting principal and associate director of lighting and creative innovation at consulting engineering practice Couch, Perry & Wilkes. He has years of experience managing the design of emergency lighting schemes.

Neil will be talking about the management of emergency lighting across large estates.

 

David Noakes, Estates Deptartment, Building Research Establishment

David works at BRE within the Estates Department, ensuring compliance with all aspects of electrical safety and best practice. He is a member of the IET and the Energy Managers Association and has particular expertise in lighting and controls for the commercial sector.
He will be taking part in the panel discussion, looking ‘beyond the regs’.

 

Martin Thompson,  Technical Services Manager, Tridonic

Martin is the technical services manager for Tridonic in the UK and Nordic region. His knowledge and experience extends across all light sources and he is currently responsible for supporting clients’ needs in existing and future technology.
Martin will be talking about the benefits of automatic testing of emergency equipment.

 

Gordon Routledge, publisher, Lux

Gordon is co-founder of Revo Media, the publisher of Lux and Lux Review. He has worked in the lighting industry for almost twenty years. He founded Lumidrives in 2001, later bought by Dialight, and then developed that company’s global lighting business unit.
Gordon will be answering questions on emergency lighting and The Internet of Things
