LED module hits 203 lm/W

A remote phosphor-based LED module reaching 203 lumens per watt efficacy has been announced today.

The commercially available 26mm dome-shaped remote phosphor from Intematix converts blue light from Philips Lumiled’s Luxeon T/TX chips to 6000K and 70CRI.

‘This result is a significant step along our innovation roadmap for phosphor solutions,’ said Yi-Qun Li, chief technology officer at Intematix.

Module makers can choose from a range of colour temperatures, as the remote phosphor design offers colour temperatures ranging from 2700K to 6000K and CRI values of 70-98.

Jy Bhardwaj, senior vice president of R&D at Lumileds, added: ‘We're very proud of this landmark performance of 203 lm/W…This marquee performance simplifies a wide variety of thermally constrained applications such as 100W A19 bulbs and high lumen candle lamps, and enables downlights with the highest efficacy in the industry.’
