Workshop explains how to upgrade to LED

A ONE-DAY workshop is set to help those about to embark on an LED lighting upgrade.

The event – hosted by Lighting Industry Association on Thursday 15 February 2018 – will explain technical jargon and manufacturer data sheets, discuss how to design lighting to put the right light in the right place at the right time, explore how best to use daylight and discuss major issues such as procurement, funding, quality, cost, and performance.

It’s one of a number of workshops on the transition to energy saving lighting in commercial premises that are being held as part of the European initiative Premium Light Pro funded by Horizon 2020.

As partners with Premium Light Pro, the Energy Saving Trust will lead the workshops and offer the opportunity to learn from some of the most experienced trainers in the lighting community.

Titled Premium Light Pro - Right Light, Right Place, Right Time the workshop will be held on the 15 February 2018 at the LIA Lighting Academy in Telford, Shropshire, of which Lux magazine is an ambassador.

The day is targeted at the engineers and facility managers from the small and medium-sized enterprise sector, and is relevant to architects, planners, installers, ESCOs, building managers, energy specialists, consultants and business owners and managers.
