LED spotlight drone captures eerie night-time images

A group of intrepid YouTubers from American video production company Stratus Productions have successfully managed to strap a 1,000 watt LED light bar to the underside of a drone. The images that the mobile spotlight have captured are eerily beautiful.

The LED light bar was strapped to the underside of a Freefly Alta octocopter, creating what is basically a flying spotlight. The spotlight is able to flood any area with a bright light.

The drone passes over a derelict home and casts LED light over the tumbledown roof.

The drone could be used to help emergency services and first responders locate a person in difficulties in rural terrain during search and rescue operations, but for now it is simply being used to capture ghostly imagery.
